Android Video corruption. Every 10-15 mins...
#1
I have a nexus player.

2 links below include my log file and a picture describing the issue I'm having.

Every 10-15 mins or so I get corruption that will last until the scene changes. It's hard to explain but the link shoes you.

I've played about with all my settings etc. It seems to be many different files and types. I've tried many different options.

For reference I have a nexus player on 5.1.1 using 14.2 and 15.2 I get the same problem. My media is stored on my gigabit NAS, I've also tried similar files on USB and I get the same.

It's not the end of the world but its hard to get immersed.

Could someone please help on any options I could tweak etc.

Thanks Smile.

I have seen this too on my nexus player ever since I upgraded to Isengard Beta 2. I didn't see this on 14.2 but on Isengard it's very noticeable and happens every few minutes. I have seen it happen more with highly compressed videos. So, for instance a 1GB 720p video would produce more of this than a similar length 720p video of 4GB.

I have watched everything from 32GB bluray rips to 720p TV.

It just seems completely random, some films are okay and others aren't.

I tried reformatting but same issue.

I have the exact same problem. I'm also with a Nexus Player on 5.1.1. I'm using Lollirock 2.1. If i play the same file in VLC, it works perfectly. In Kodi (15.2) i get the artifacts every 10 minutes that last until the scene changes. Very annoying.

Anyone have any ideas?

No Debug Log no issue, no problem to solve.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
