My live TV has been working fine. I pressed stop on it to go back to my main menu and do some other stuff. When I went back and tried to tune to another channel, I got a message that the tuner is in use by another client. Is this just an Isengard beta bug? I think the whole point of the HDHomerun is to have TV throughout your home. I don't think you are limited to one channel on one device.

How many tuners does HDHomerun have?
You should be able to watch multiple channels simultaneously if they are broadcast on the same transponder and you only have one tuner. Would also depend on whether HDHomerun sports that as well.
