Ok, so I have searched through the forums and found numerous threads to handle some audio problems while running Kodi and have yet to find the trick to make the thing work.
When I try to play a movie or even move through the Kodi menu there is no sound. This is both the case when using HDMI through an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 as well as a Realtek sound card via SPDIF. The strange thing is that in windows I can sound alerts and what not and when I change which audio source is the default I can hear the sounds through both sources. This is an issue in Kodi 14.0 and Kodi 14.2, after trying unsuccessfully for a few hours I removed the Kodi program and installed XBMC 13.2 (i think it is) and everything worked fine again. I re-installed Kodi and it went off again. But only running XBMC everything works fine. Any one have any ideas of anything else to check out?
