Does anyone know what the background is on this change to keyboard mappings in RC? It seems like maybe it was just discovered by those working on Dx11 fork.

Yes. I am interested in understanding what the underlying change was that made this necessary. Not a biggie. The change suggest to me there was a different mechanism (opening a dialog window vs calling an addon) and I'm curious why that was done.
