WIP Device Hardware list
#1
This is another hardware list of some of the suggested devices I have seen posted on the forum. This list has the option to filter the list based on requirements. I made this a few months ago so some information may no longer be accurate or relevant. I am currently using random placeholder images for some devices.

Demo: https://rawgit.com/curti/6aeda10d3b4f814...index.html

More filters can be added and the current filters include:
Quote:Content: Amazon Prime, HBO, Hulu, Live TV, Netflix, Starz
Hardware Requirements: 3D, 4K, 24p, Hi10p, Bluetooth, 100Meg Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 5 GHz, Blu-ray, DVD, H.265/HEVC, CEC, HD Audio, HDMI, IR, USB

If anyone would like to contribute new information and/or help update the current information for devices please reply using the following format:
Quote:Device Name: Nexus Player
OS: Android
Cost: 99
Content: Hulu, Netflix
Hardware: Bluetooth, HDMI, WiFi 2.4 GHz, WiFi 5 GHz
Image: https://placeimg.com/640/480/tech
RAM: 1 GB
Storage: 8 GB
Thread: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=206515
Wiki: http://kodi.wiki/view/Google_Nexus_Player

If there is interest then I will continue updating the list.

Maybe try and post it here for intergration:

There is also potential for incorporation into the wiki:

Devices (wiki)
Media_Center_Master (wiki) || First_time_user (wiki) || Kodi Store || T-shirts: Villian, Protest, Graffiti, Emoji, Black on Black, K-18L

Maybe also the need to distinguish between 100Meg Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet for those devices that are used as say as a TV Headend Server to multiple clients in a house.

Also add 24p to ODROID-C1 as the new Firmware thats near release will have that support for 23.976fps (tested and confirmed). Has CEC also.
Wetek Play has 24p support.

Vero definitely does not do 24p, ask Fritsch.

Cyclone X4 will do Live TV. In fact all AMlogic SoC's should deinterlace TV properly.

Are these Netflix, Prime categories for HD DRM streaming only ?
If so it definitely helps users when choosing such a device. Smile

I did not want to hijack the thread; but I will be reviewing it for more devices when I have some time.

Updated with your suggestions, thanks. Yes, the Netflix/Prime categories should only include HD DRM streaming. HBO will be included soon too with the announcement of HBO Now for Android.

Please let me know if corrections need to be made or if there are more suggestions.

Btw the nvidia shield supports Hi10p in software mode + CEC
Also it would be nice if you add USB 2.0 / USB 3.0 and Ethernet 100mbps / 1g

I forgot to update the demo link earlier in the OP that included the changes. I have updated the NVIDIA SHIELD information and I also added USB 2.0/3.0 as options.
