Hello everyone!
I'm looking for a new TV / Streaming system for my living room. It should be as future-proof as possible.
So it should be an 4k TV, whatever manufacturer.
The StreamingBox should make it possible to stream up to 4k content with h.265 (HEVC) codec.
There will be a few promising boxes in the near future available.
But now I've seen the next Philips TV lineup: For example the Philips 55PUS7180
- 4k resolution
- Quad Core CPU
- HEVC Support
- Adroid TV
What is your opinion?
- Would you drop the StreamingBox completely for TV with these specs?
- Is it possible to replace the Box for the TV with installed KODI, especially the 4k/h.265 playback?
