I apologize, if this is already a feature request, but I couldn't find it.
I would like to have the option to speed up the video play speed with maintaining the high of the sound. (So no "Mickey Mouse"-voices if the video is at 2.0 times speed.)
At the moment I'm still using Mythtv for videos that I want to play faster. I understand that this will sacrifice some of the video quality, but for me there are a few circumstances when I like to do that.
E.g.:
- Watching a movie with the length x minutes while I only have x-y minutes left before I have to go.
- Speeding up long and boring time of a movie/show
- time-shifting a live sports event and trying to catch up as fast as possible. (My neighbors are very noise when there is a touchdown.)
Hint: Watch soccer at 2.0 speed - it is than very exciting
