Same problem here.

Kodi 15.1 crashes at startup and freezes, not reacting at Windows 7

Before everything was working fine...

Same here. As of yesterday, when Kodi reaches the home wiindow, a dialogue bow opens saying - Kodi has stopped working. Windows will now close the program. I`ve installed the 15.1 maintenance fix and also system restore, but still the same. Log file below. [Ignore all the music file errors, thats a work in progress]

and full debug log here...

I had this same problem. All of a sudden Kodi stopped working on one of my computers. After doing a bunch of troubleshooting I traced the issue to the network shares no longer allowing access. To the best of my knowledge I didn't change anything related to accounts or network shares, so I'm blaming it on one of the windows patches. Maybe the one related to KB3073921. Its also possible it stopped working when I updated to windows 10, but I thought I had used it since then. My fix was to go to the computer I was sharing folders from and fix the permissions so the computer running Kodi had access. As soon as I fixed the permissions issue, Kodi fired right back up again.

If it makes a difference I have pathsubstitutions in my advancedsettings.xml file that were pointing to the network shares. Funny thing is my other two computers running Kodi and Windows 10 with the exact same advancedsettings.xml file continued to work just fine.

Almost certainly you have a bad add-on. You need to disable your add-ons, then bring them back to life in batches. One of those add-ons has not been updated correctly.

Looks like the problem is not uncommon.
Could someone have a look at the link and let me know how I could resolve the issue?

I had a quick look. You could start by doing what BatterPudding advised in the post right above yours.
Eliminate add-ons, see if it does the same with a clean build.

Seriously - get rid of the banned add-ons and repositories. Only once your logs are clear of those can anyone help you.

Some mods will ban people just for having this conversation. Dodgy mods are not just breaking the law, breaking the rules of this forum, but they are breaking KODI and are a headache for us trying to help.

A lot of crashes are just plain due to cruddy add-ons. Not surprisingly, many people doing things in a shady manner don't bother patching and updating their dodgy code.
