Linux OpenELEC Testbuilds for x86 (Kodi 17)
no problem with my chromebox

Edit: My network config is

cable Fiber Router for internet> Wifi Router (asus) > switch gigabit

Dhcp mode
I was finally able to duplicate the issue with live TV hanging. It played good during a regular tv show, and then hung up once it went to a commercial. VAAPI preferred selected.

First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Can you describe your network configuration... Wifi or wired? Dhcp or static/manual address? Etc.
Texture Cache Maintenance Utility: Preload your texture cache for optimal UI performance. Remotely manage media libraries. Purge unused artwork to free up space. Find missing media. Configurable QA check to highlight metadata issues. Aid in diagnosis of library and cache related problems.

The real issue is here I think:

I have seen this before ... happens only with mythtv - right? you cannot reproduce with local files?

Correct, I can not duplicate with local files, It is only live tv, but not limited to MythTV, the logs below show the issue duplicated with HDHomeun add on.

Log 1

Log 2
Okay, here are logs with the latest build. Let me know if you cannot access them.

Pretty much all of my videos are mp4 containers, x264 video and mp3 audio (encoded with Handbrake).

On my GigaByte E350N PC running OpenElec, they play fine with OpenElec 6 (Kodi 15.2).

Updating to the newer builds and video plays fine but with no sound.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/tbmkze1wo2oumc...7.zip?dl=0

HTPC is connected to TV via HDMI and then from TV to soundbar with optical.

UI sounds play fine, and live/recorded TV also play fine with sound, so the problem does seem limited.

Best wishes,

Mark

Linksys wireless router-Dhcp. First time there has been a wi fi problem with any of the updates.
did you try restarting your router or to force static ip for chromebox (in router settings)

tried several time but no problem

(but asus router dhcp lease always same ip for known mac)

Thanks, but I found the answer in the "openelec settings". I have to manually reset the wireless network to active, never had to before.

Hmm, good to know - presumably you only had to do this once and not every boot, so all is good now?

At a guess, maybe connman-1.30 is seeing your network hardware with a slightly different label than before, so "forgot" the old settings created with connman-1.23.

Even switching back to the latest Fritsch build (20151118) I have to reset every time now.
really strange that with same chromebox no problem for me

Just tried 1103 Millhouse build and still have to reset to active. Millhouse, I understand your concern on "getting it right", but to me this is not a major problem. Maybe just my Chromebox has a problem?
