Starting about 1 week ago I have been having this issue with Kodi 15.1 and 15.2 RC2 where while in the middle of watching a show or a movie the video and audio will pause every so many minutes for about 2 seconds and then all of a sudden fast forward through a few seconds of footage. I have been using XBMC and Kodi since 2009 without problems and the .mkv files I'm playing are from a server on a local 1 Gbps connection network. I can't think of any changes to the system I'm using to run Kodi since this issue started happening and I'm out of ideas and can't seem to narrow down the issue. I am confident this issue is related to Kodi somehow as if I play the same files using media player classic from the same CIFS share I don't have this pause and fast forward problem.
