Is it really necessary to download all pictures for a show when scraping a single season?

This is a big issue when scraping the latest season of shows like The Big Bang Theory and Doctor Who (2005). It takes 10-15 minutes for me to get one season poster.
It even happens when I manually scrape for a season poster. Takes forever.

Even without downloading any images, getting library information would still take awhile since kodi does things one episode at a time.
If you look at your log you'll see that a small percentage of the time taken to update a library is actually spent downloading anything.

This isn't in Kodi, this is in EMM. Two different things.
