I cleaned my library (Settings -> Library -> "Clean library..." and it asks :

What would you like to do with media items from smb.......
Keep? Remove?

This is stressing me the heck out. Does "Remove" mean DELETE? is it going to delete everything from my shared folder?

I'm anxiously awaiting a response before I proceed LOL...

It is only referring to the referenced location entry in the library not the files itself. Something has changed with those files, either they were moved, deleted, renamed, or your smb share is no longer working, and since the files are no longer accessible it is prompting you if you want to delete to reference to these files from your library. The clean library function should never delete any media files.
