KODI on Raspberry PI2 - no screen output
#1
I installed Raspbian, OSMC and OpenELEC on a PI2 - from the latest version of NOOBS (Jessie).

The PI is connected to an HDMI TV.

Raspbian works fine.

In both OSMC and OpenELEC I see a Logo for a few seconds, there's no output to the screen. In both cases, the PI is still "alive" - I can ping it - just no output to the screen.

I then tried installing KODI on the working Raspbian (apt-get install kodi). I then ran KODI - both from the Raspbian menu and from the CLI. In both cases, I get no output to the screen.

My next attempt was to force the PI to boot into HDMI safe mode. This solved the problem of KODI in Raspbian - but NOT in OSMC or OpenELEC.

try some of the other settings for HMDI in the config.txt

http://elinux.org/RPiconfig#Video

i had a black screen problem (with an attached HMDI splitter) and added these to the config.txt ... and then i got picture

hdmi_safe=1
hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080
hdmi_force_hotplug=1
