Issue displaying quotes (single or double) in add-on dialog box
#1
I have an add-on that displays a modal dialog box containing text. This text is pulled from a .txt file on my server.

Everything displays as expected, with the exception of single (') and double (") quotation marks. Is there a way that I can escape these special characters within the .txt file itself so that they display within the Kodi add-on dialog window?

not sure if it'll work but try ' and "

If that doesn't work, try escaping the single or double quote with the backslash.

I was able to get around this by escaping the problem text. Thanks Chris and Ronie!
