i am using the amazon fire tv stick, is there a way to unrar and rar a file using kodi ? i'd like to for example update my current script by clicking on a menu button have it download it from my ftp and unzip it and replace the files. kinda what other addons do to update there scripts.
but ive looked over all of the kodi commands and couldnt find anything or i may of just not been looking in the correct place,

there is no compression functionality.

you can extract an archive using the 'Extract' built-in command
