You cannot use those "couple of spare SO-DIMMs" - make sure they support the correct 1.35V.
First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.

Ahh. Crap :S I somehow thought that 1,5V are backward compativle with 1.35V
