Hi Pop will your 5.08 build allow to update by tar from update folder to 6.0 having some issues in doing so missing kernel o system tried a compiled version i did, then though i would try offcial version from OE site with same issues

Yes, in general you can upgrade/downgrade and switch between nightly/stable releases by putting the tar file into Update folder and rebooting.
