Kodi crashes trying to read audio files
#1
Hi Everyone,

I am running Kodi on Arch-ARM. Specifically the kodi-rbp package in arch, see (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Kodi).

When navigating to a directory that contains a "bad" audio file, Kodi will crash. The directory can be a network share or local file. Kodi seems to crash on a huge number of my audio files. Simply attempting to read the tag info causes Kodi to crash. The crash report just shows Kodi opening the file, then crashing.

Has anyone had this issue, or know how to fix.

Crash report is here: http://pastebin.com/iR7VaZvR
Sample File is here: http://www.mediafire.com/listen/35adoe0o...tonite.mp3
(Song was first one to break Kodi)

Let me know if this file breaks other kodi installs.

Thanks in advance,

Agey

I think you need to report this to Arch. There have been issue with the version of gcc used to build kodi:

You can try another distribution (e.g. OpenELEC or OSMC). If that fails the same way, then we can investigate further.
But if it doesn't fail (and I suspect it won't) then it's down the Arch to resolve.
