Dolby Digital - getting audio dropouts when outputting to amp/decoder via SPDIF

Bug
Hello,

Same problem here,
Got this android box : http://www.measy.com.cn/product/showproduct113_en.htm
Measy B4T , android 5.1 lolipop connected to my TV with HDMI and with a yamaha amp through optical
It came with an older kodi version, no problems with either 5.1 through optical , passthrough worked like a charm... The idiot here( -me- ) updated ofc kodi.
Since then ... DD5.1 or DTS it cuts off every 3-4 secs exactly as you described above
Video playback is smooth , and sound is also correct synced with the video.
Box Cpu used is only the first core (its octacore) never goes above 40-50%

Checked everything so far, downgrade, till 14.2 , 14.2 seems to work ok without slowdowns , the only minus here is that AMP remains always in 5.1 DD either the audio source is DTS or AAC or DD
(it looks suspicious to me)
Remains for me to contact the manufacturer to ask what version of Kodi was preinstalled.
Tested with several movies and audio sources...

Any help or feedback will be appreciated

I have the same problem with my MS8 box running Mordor and it only happens in Kodi. I just bought a new TV and notice the sound dropping for a second every few minutes. I went out a bought a new HDMI cable and optical cable....same thing. This didn't happen at all with my old TV. Any ideas?
