I'm currently interested in writing a program similar to PseudoTV and I'm wondering what the fastest way to switch between media is going to be.
I was looking at "PlayMedia" but I'm not sure if I should be using a playlist or not. Obviously if I used "PlayMedia" on a single file I'll have to "Seek" to the point in the video but I would figure that might be faster than doing that with a whole playlist. I'm not exactly sure though, I do plan on benchmarking it but I was looking for any ideas on switching between videos really quickly and to a specific point so I can mimic live tv channel.
Also this is a long shot but is it possible to play multiple videos at once and only show the user one of them? If I could preload the other channel videos somehow I'm guessing that would offer a speed improvement as well but I'm guessing that isn't actually possible.
