I have aquired 2 raspberry pi's, one of them which is running rasbian, the other running KODI. i have been using the one with rasbian as a server to hold all my movies and then connecting to them with kodi. The other day I attempted to connect kodi using the external ip instead of the local ip, which was working. I have forwarded the ports and connected to the pi using the same information from filezilla and for the life of me cant seem to connect the pi running kodi to my pi server via external ip.

I was wondering if anyone had any advice or recommendations? (leaving my home for college in a few weeks and thought it would be cool to leave the server at home and still access my music and movies in kodi)
