Kodi” is damaged and can’t be opened.

when i installed Kodi on my mac yosemite 10.10.5i get this error " “Sad You should move it to the Trash."

I have uninstalled it twice and downloaded it from two different sources.


please help

This is usually a problem with Gatekeeper. You can either change your Gatekeeper settings in system prefs to allow all apps or right click the Kodi app, select open, acknowledge the warning and enter your password if prompted.

... and don't forget to re-enable Gatekeeper after the Kodi install & first run. Otherwise the new setting sticks.
