I just had an XDK installation fail because I installed Service Pack 1 for Visual Studio .NET 2003. This may be common knowledge to some, but I didn't know that the XDK requires a non-updated version of Visual Studio. I tried to edit the wiki page with compilation instructions (http://www.xboxmediacenter.com/wiki/inde...ds_of_XBMC), but it's locked. Could someone with the necessary privileges edit the page and add a note about how you can't install the Visual Studio service pack?

You can actually install the pack, you just have to install the XDK with the version checking disabled (/s switch or something IIRC).

And yes, it'd be good if this was added to the wiki.
