My android device no longer will keep streaming playback paused when I switch to another application while awaiting Kodi to load/buffer streams using any video add ons. I am using the same device and haven't changed any settings, this started yesterday after I did the most recent Kodi update. The playback stops and the system goes back to the stream selection menu. Can anyone help resolve this issue?

This is intentional since Kodi 16.
If you want the ability to switch apps without video playback stopping, you'll need to use SPMC, which still works that way.
