Is oké, i'll do the dmesg | pastebinit later and paste the result here! At the moment the system is checking the disk (gparted) and is very very busy :-)

Sorry it took so long. There are really problems with the disk. I did the dmesg but this isn't what you wanted, I suppose...

joep@zbox-40hd:~$ dmesg | pastebinit
Het programma ‘pastebinit’ is momenteel niet geïnstalleerd. U kunt het installeren door het volgende te typen:
sudo apt-get install pastebinit
joep@zbox-40hd:~$

sudo apt-get install pastebinit

dmesg | pastebinit

Btw. your backtrace is gone - gdb uninstalled?

gdb is not uninstalled, maybe I first had to restart Kodi when I put debug logging on?

dmesg is here: http://paste.ubuntu.com/15686964/

^^ how do you know? If the disk is broken further debugging is not worth a lot, you know.

I don 't know but I suspect there must be something wrong with the disk.

I'll try to copy the data to the internal disk and then report back to you. Thanks!!!

That log just means, that the drive was not properly unmounted.
