critical error while watching Kodi

Im hoping I'm in the correct area.
I received a critical error while watching Kodi on my android box.
I performed the following steps:
I cleared the Cache then I force quit Kodi.
I went back to reopen Kodi and it began loading { first run} but stopped before completely finishing.
I waited about 5 min then it returned to my home screen and didn't load.
Can I reinstall Kodi without losing my apps.
My Andriod Box is an MXQ Android Version 4.4.2, Kodi version is 14.2

From what I remember, Android will delete the userdata folder (and thus all your settings, add-ons, database, ...) once you uninstall an app, so you would likely loose all that, which means you should do a backup first. See http://kodi.wiki/view/Userdata for the location of the userdata folder on Android. You can back it up with any file browser app, like ES-FileExplorer
