v16 volume amplification: problem with settings
#1
hi,
i am using kodi 16 with openelec 7 on a rpi3.
i have a question regarding "volume amplification".

i have set volume aplification (to 10) from the "audio" settings page (the one that come up from watching a video) and then, to make it persistent across all video files, i selected the last option from the menu, which says "set as default for all media".

with kodi 15, i remember that setting volume amplification only applied to video files and didn't affect audio files at all. in fact, the option from the menu said something like "set as default for all movie/videos".

but now (kodi 16) i really have the impression that sound coming from audio files get some compression too (which is not good at all), as would be consistent with the menu entry saying "set as default for all media".

is that possible that "volume amplification" is applied to music files as well?
how can i apply it to only video files?

i had a look at advancedsetting.xml, and looks like volume amplification is in a "video" section... so it should not actually apply to music files.

anyone noticed this problem?
