Questions about HQ Scalers using Kodi 14.2
#1
I hope someone can answer some questions about using HQ Scalers in Kodi (Helix 14.2) as I find that http://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Videos does not have much information on the subject. My understanding is that if I enable HQ Scalers for scaling about 10% it will enable HQ scalers that are on the GPU depending on the model of the GPU. For example Nvidia GTX 660 cards should enable Lanczos scalers within the GPU. I then should be able to go to the GUI when playing a video and select the HQ scaler I want to use. However when I enable HQ Scalers and output SD video to my 1920x1080 screen all it shows in the Video GUI is that Video Scaling is set to DXVA but I see no option to select Lanczos hardware for scaling.

Can anyone clarify what settings I should be able to select and how can I confirm that the GTX 660 Lanczos scaler is being used when use DXVA2 acceleration?

thanks

PS: I did search this subject and found very confusing answers with no definitive resolution.
