Kodi not scraping metadata correctly
#1
Hello,
I'm using Kodi on the Amazon Fire TV, and am having problems with getting Kodi to correctly scrape metadata for a movie source that I added via a shared network drive via UPnP.

Basically, Kodi is only scraping in-film images (which look low-res and out of scale), and not providing cover art or any other text metadata.

I've also installed Kodi on my Win 10 PC, and also on an Nvidia Shield, and always get the same results.

I am currently using the default Confluence skin, but have tried others with no difference. I also added Universal Movie Scraper add-on, again making no difference.

When I add my Movie source, I do not get the option for "Set Content" for different content types (ie Movies, TV etc), and I have never been asked whether my movies are stored in folders or not, so I don't know if this is the issue.

I would love to get this resolved!

Thanks,
pramster

I finally figured out that the problem was using a shared drive via UPnP, as this does not allow for metadata scraping to work.

Once I shared via Windows SMB, all worked fine as it should.
