I am not Sure if i am properly able to explain this.

I am Using AppleTV 4 with side-install Kodi Latest Build of May 2016, i am using Paid Video Add on, When i brows Video / Movies and lets say i select "Fanart" Listing View mode, when i navigate to next page it Listing View Mode Remain Same (Fanart) but when i exit or go back to previous Page the automatically changes the Listing View Mode to different ( Such as Icons, Thumbnails, etc )


I am writing this post so may be it could help Developers of Kodi for TvOS to take care of such in future release.

That is all controlled by the add-on. Whoever made the add-on you use would need to change it so that you can set a global default view.

I have used the same Addons in ( OSMC ) but it never keeps changing listing views from one to another. may be you are right but i am writing this for cross reference.

There are several Paid Addons ( such as "sastaTV" ) and i have used it on both OSMC, and i am 100% sure it does not change any display view modes itself. but in apple TV 4 it does for sure.
