I just bought this new controller for my new MXQ Pro tv box and I still need to use the remote
that came with my MXQ Pro to turn the box on or off , was there something else that needed to be done to get
full use of my new Rii mini i8 to do all the work. I do like this controller.

That has nothing to do with Kodi. Please ask whoever made the box or the remote.

Thread moved to off-topic. As Ned says, Kodi is software, we don't do boxes themselves.
