Remote buddy not working with Krypton 17 Alpha 2
#1
Remote buddy was working fine with 16.1 but stopped with 17 Alpha 2.

The remote buddy behaviour does nothing but works with any other application / behaviour

any clue?

please go into the "all logs" section in the "Console" tool (its in applications - utilities) and filter the log by "XBMCHelper" (on the top right of the program). Please paste the last 30 or so lones of that to pastebin.com and put the link in here.

Please copy this file here to your keymaps folder (its in the keymaps folder inside of your userdata (wiki) folder)

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/xbmc/x...armony.xml

the name of the file has to be customcontroller.Harmony.xml

After that edit that file and replace the IDs like done here:

https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/blob/16.1-J...armony.xml

simply try up down left right first and see if it makes it working. If so i will fix the keymap ...

Hi Memphiz

I copied the first file and then I replaced the ids but it did not work. Then I tried all combinations of mixing ids, and configured the remote options within Kodi (chosing Harmony, Universal, etc) and it did not work.

Here is the log again, just in case it helps:

mhh real odd because that keymap was wrong indeed - can you post a debug log (wiki) with your altered keymap in place?

Remote Buddy 1.28.4 now supports Kodi 17.
Use the "Check for updates..."

I have no idea.
The only thing I know is that now Remote Buddy works with Kodi 17.

Maybe asking the developer (iospirit.com)...
