Downgrade LibreELEC to Jarvis 16.1

I have started to use MrMC with mySQL and now need to downgrade all my clients to 16.1 to keep them in sync.

On Windows, this was easy and I just installed 16.1 on-top of 17-nightly and it worked.

Is this as easy for LibreElec? Just need to copy the .img.gz file of stabe 16.1 to the update folder and it downgrades?
