Try turning off hardware acceleration.

it really is frustrating..Kodi looks like a really good media player, but i may have to uninstall it if nothing can be done to get it to work properly Sad

im still hoping someone will help us both.

I am having the same issue and I tried the steps recommended with no changes.

Is anyone else having problems with the video playback?

Hi Roogsy..I am, so is Jessica..i have done everything and still can't get no joy. I even started a ticket on the Kodi support place but have not had any answer from them.

i'm really hoping someone here can help Huh

Maybe one of the super mods will move this to the windows sub forum. This is another example of how stupid it is to have a catch-all "videos" forum when we already have a general forum and OS-specific forums. It makes it harder for the devs (and other users) to find reported issues.
