Sorry I know this is not support forum for atv 4k test
It all works fine but when.

But the screen size gets smaller... Any idea why this is the case? Both during playback aswell as the gui

I cant calibrate it either from within kodi

Basically I see black border around all 4 sides.

Check your TV's under and over scan setting.

Okay I found the problem for others this can be useful

1. Make sure calibrate screen in Amazon fire tv box is set to "no scale"
2. Make sure u select 4k resolution in Amazon settings and Amazon will tell u if Ur HDMI port is not compatible with 4k for me that was also the issue so I selected another HDMI port on my tv
3. I selected 4k resolution in spmc video settings


Thats all enjoying full 4k

So, do I see it right that it is not possible to run SPMC only in 1080p mode but still be able to play 4K Videos in 4K resolution?
I would have the tradeoff that once using 4K resolution, that all other content will be upscaled by SPMC?
