First i have to say, nice work!. This is a great and useful addon, thank you very much.

Here is the link to the show in the mediathek site, but it's not listed in "Sendungen A-Z" you have to search for "Erlebnis Erde" in the search box, i guess that's why it's not listed in the mediathek addon either.

thats correct. I'am unable to to find this show without a direct search either. I'am able to add the show with a hard-link in the code, but that isn't very handy. I guess, this show was listet for a periot on the main-screen. But without a category or a "show" status it disapears in the mass...

first of all: Thank you very much Raptor for that great plugin! Finally that one changed the mind of my wife regarding a HTPC

Right now I have some problems with the plugin. I´m running version .4 on my yaVDR installation. If I try to open any programs in the ARD -> A-Z folder, I get an update on the current movies/files available, but when I click on one of them just nothing happens. Before I had it running 10.10 and it made no problems at all.

Do you have any idea what could cause that? I have tried all possible settings in the configuration of the Add-On but nothing worked out for me.

Looking forward for any kind of suggestion!

whiteout a trace from your xbmc.log (find in <home>/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log) it's all about guessing... try to access some videos an post the log with http://pastebin.com/

maybe you could replace the 10.04 with 10.10 - Lars op den Kamp offers a PPA for PVR-Testing more frequently updated... https://launchpad.net/~lars-opdenkamp/+archive/xbmc-pvr

i start with yavdr as well, but quickly setup my own HTPC - installation (XBMC as leading frontend and vdr/tvheadend as underlying - backend)

First of all: great plugin! Now my gf can watch her soap episodes if she missed one...

What about making another plugin just like this one for the ORF TVthek? Although the content is not very great atm it could be more interesting for the future.

The foreign Mediatheks with "sound-a-like" German Language (like orf, sf, bayrisches fernsehen) are on my screen.

I'am currently developing some new features (Search, User-Defined-Menu, caching) so it will take some days until next release and the implementation of further mediatheks

ORF, SF, TF

one thing i noticed was that one can choose from the plugin-configuration, different stream formats which then link to the "proper stream". are those supported by all hosts?

im asking cuz i noticed when i had to start a stream for my gf from the zdf-mediathek i had it set to "mov" (can't remember why) and the stream would not play. a quick check into this thread and i changed it to rtms and it played fine. should rtms be set for all hosts?

i realized that rtms works for zdf mediathek as well, but i really don't know what this means, was a bit of trial and error. arte for example stops after a minute with this setting and i actually haven't found a working solution.

is there a way to let it chose automatically?

a workung solution would be to read 2 sites back in this thread

i'am currently watching arte on my testmaschine for about 20 minutes. My guess was right, librtmp has to fake the flash version. to get a quick fix, simple replace your local arty.py with this one https://github.com/raptor2101/Mediathek/...ek/arte.py

This fix will be released whit the next Pluginversion but i was fighting the two weeks my vdr-xbmc pvr-solution and afterwards the xbmc-addon-skining api. So i have lost a lot of time... i hope to release a new version within the next 7 days...

No, not really. As posted before this options are more a hint for the plugin what kind of source to prefer not a hard "use it". The Problem is, not all mediathekes offer all video sources:

• ZDF: Offer all kind of sources (everytime) with different quality options. MOV-Playback (HTTP Stream) don't work for any reason? I don't know why
  
• ARD: Offer all kind of sources but not choosable. Sometimes a Video is offer in rmtp, somethimes in wmv, sometimes in different formats at the same time.
  
• ARTE:Offer only RTMP Stream but with a more strict (broken) DRM than ZDF. So there was the fix for.
  
• 3Sat: Offer mostly wmv and mov whit different quality settings.

i installed mediathek from the beta repo on the new AppleTV2 release of XBMC.

I tried to play a file from the ZDF Mediathek, but i couldn't play any file. As far as i could read from the log, the file link is broken.

Btw. is there a spelling error, never found anywhere else the term 'RTMS'? I've found RTSP or RTMP.
