v17 Latest Windows 10 caused HDMI audio issue
#1
I believe my windows 10 PC recently updated itself and now I cannot get the latest hidef audio formats to work via HDMI through Kodi Beta 17 (2)?

Under windows audio devices, I am only seeing standard Dolby digital and DTS , not True-HD or DTS-MA?

I cant get it to work!

any thoughts?

Sounds like a graphics driver issue since they'll will also incluse the hdmi audio drivers.

I tried the latest nvidia one for my card and still same issueSad
It looks like a new intel HD graphics driver was installed this week too? Could this be the issue as well?

Any suggestions?
Appreciate the help!

What type of pc is it? is it one of these laptops where you can switch between Intel and Nvidia graphics? sounds like it could be picking up the Intel graphics if so not the Nvidia. Could you supply a debug log_file (wiki) as that will clearly show what available to Kodi and what you are using.

above is the log file from Kodi.
My pc is a custom built desktop running Gigabyte MB GA-b75m-D3H-, Nvidia GT430 HDMI card. Intel i5 2400. Yamaha CX-A5000 preamp (HDMI).

Let me know if you need anything else! I tried more things today and still cannot get those hi def codecs to show up. I checked my Yamaha settings too. HDMI control is off and so is passthrough

You've got you're device selection wrong, you should have selected WASPI HDMI instead you've got Directsound SPDIF selected.

I must have not switched it back. I had been trying various settings in hopes that it would work. Here is another log with correct settings!

Still no Hi def codecsSad
