Hey guys,

I don't get a special episode tagged, which is in between a season. i hope you can explain me how to name those.

The episodes I want to tag:

I tried different things. S01ESpecial (did not worked), S00E01 (thats wrong, its not listed directly as special, its listen in the season as special)

I hope you can help me fixing this small problem Confused

S00E01 is what you want. Any and all "specials" should go in their own folder (Season 00/Season 0/Not sure which other ones are out there). In the nfo you would use displayseason tag to place it into a season other than season 0. For example:

This special takes place before the show, so it makes sense to be in Season 0, but it helps flesh out the series, so using:

these tags in the nfo it will make sure it is listed as the first episode in season 1.

NFOs are text files that have all of your movie/show info and tells kodi how to display and what to display. These files are only present if you export your movie database through kodi or use an external program to manage your media. My recommendation for this would be Ember Media Manager which you can find in the supplementary tools section of the forum here. It's can be a pain to setup at first, but the day or two you spend getting it up and running will be worth the trouble in the long run. After you use the media manager to setup your collection, it's saved. Never have to worry about kodi not getting things right again!

I recommend using Ember too. You don't really need a special folder for Season 0 unless you are putting all your episodes in seasons. I have most of my tvshows withoiut season subfolders which work well. As Zerocool pointed out, all special episodes are in season 0 on thetvdb.com.

Just curious, where do you store them? Would you mind posting your folder structure. I always like to see what others do for future reference in case I change my setup or a client likes something else.

Season folders are optional - you can use them (I do) or chuck all your episodes straight into the 'tvshow' folder.
It just takes a layer out of the folder structure.
