I'm facing issue with the AC3 transcoding and the shield. I'm currently using Jarvis.
Having a Sonos, I must convert all the streams to AC3, so I checked the "AC3 Transcoding" button in the audio settings.
When I watch a movie, the conversion is made during the first 90 seconds, roughly, then it suddenly stops, and I get no sound at all ...
I tried with Kodi 17, and the result is slightly different ... This time, the conversion to AC3 slowdowns the movie so much that it's not possible to see it, as if the CPU was used as 100% for this task ...
I tried to put Kodi on my MacBook Pro, and to connect to the TV via HDMI. With the same settings, the laptop has no difficulties to transcode to AC3 an entire movie.
Therefore I suspect either the Shield, or Kodi for Shield ...
Any thoughts ?
