I have tried to run Kodi nightly build KodiSetup-20161014-70e2462-master.exe
in VirtualBox.running Win7

I get an error saying: ERROR:Unable to creat GUI. Exiting
When I first try to start Kodi

I have created a log at:
http://theoffice.la/m/kodiLog.zip

Please help me find a way to get Kodi running in win7 VirtualBox.

The last lines of your log pretty well sums it up.

ERROR: CRenderSystemDX::CreateDevice - D3D11 device creation failure with error 887A0004 - DXGI_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED (Unsupported.).20:16:18 T:2772 FATAL: CApplication::Create: Unable to init rendering system

Either your graphic system is barking driver, or you haven't configured correctly. In general these virtual sandboxes don't allow hardware drivers free reign and I doubt Krypton is going to be much different than Jarvis, but you might get lucky.
