Video Playback Problem
#1
I have an odd issue and I'm not sure where the problem lies. Trying to playback an MKV file (extracted from a DVD using MakeMKV) the playback would either get an error before playback could actually start or during the playback the video would stall out. This happened using the latest OpenELEC using Jarvis, the latest LibreElec running Krypton (both on a Raspberry Pi 3) and Krypton on my Windows 10 PC. The video file is being hosted on the Windows 10 PC so it doesn't matter if the file is local or over the network. The file plays perfectly fine on the Windows 10 PC when it's played by VLC Player. To my mind there must be something about the video file that the video player in Kodi is choking on, but what that is is beyond me. Any ideas?

I do not know much about makemkv but does it do any form of up scaling when converting from DVD to MKV?
English is not my native language; please excuse typing errors.
Grampa Simpson: Unfortunately, like all true stories, this one has a crappy ending. You have a story with an ending.
Grampa, are you sure you're okay to drive at night? Grampa: It's night?
