Win Kodi has stopped working after first install

Hello,

I have a problem, since a couple of weeks i bought myself a new laptop. I had kodi installed before on my other laptop and it was working fine. Now with my new laptop i have a problem! i just freshly installed kodi 16.1 Jarvis but whenever i want to start it it immediatly crashes and an popup said "Kodi has stopped working". I don't know what i can do about this or what the problem might be. Hopefully someone can help me because i really want to use kodi.

You said you have kodi 16.1 but your log show kodi 15.2

I'm also experiencing this exact same issues recently. After the past 2 Kodi updates from the windows 10 store it crashes at startup. It was working fine before 2 updates ago including the recent one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows store version has problems, I thought somebody said they were fixed. I guess not.
Is there a problem downloading and installing from kodi.tv?

Yes there is still a problem. Did a full uninstall then reinstalled the release version off Kodi.tv site and it still crashes as soon as you launch the program. Not sure what the issue is but I haven't been able to use it for almost a month now. Thanks for any help you can provide.

You need to turn on the debug in settings/system/logging to be more useful, what I'm seeing is a few lines of the start and just when it gets to the juicy part of loading up the Intel® HD Graphics 530 config it ends... Supported hardware (wiki) humm... I wonder?

Strange experience to-day, clicked out Kodi with the window X gadget, it would not restart until I deleted a 'Google Crash log' spooky.
