Win Addon errors
#1
Every time I try to do an add on it says Addon installer error, check log. First, where is the log to check, second, how do I fix this? I am running 17.0 beta 3 because had problems with newer versions.

Any particular add-on ?

Suggest that you consider moving back to stable Jarvis 16.1, most of the add-ons are mature for that iteration and shouldn't cause issues.

Are you using a vanilla build from us, or something from the banned add-ons (wiki) list?

Several of those have installed or similar wizards, which we strongly recommend are not touched with even the longest bargepole unless you like not knowing what other crap they may be sneaking into your system.

responding to bry, I never stated any question about anything illegal, I asked for where the log file is that the software refers to and what would cause an addon error. I am fully aware of all the legal issues.

No, but you did mention "addon installer", which immediately raises eyebrows...
