Help me out I'm not very bright on computers. I downloaded some individual Christmas pictures for home screen.I created a folder and put them in on ES File Explorer. When I go to same place in Kodi the folder is there but pictures don't show up.
What am I doing wrong?

it's skin-dependent, I think, but have a look in System -> Settings -> Appearance -> Skin -> Settings. You should have a "background options" (Confluence) setting, or similar (other skins).

looking where you told me I see all the backgrounds and can change them but my problem is if I add a folder say my holiday backgrounds and add a picture I downloaded the folder is empty. In other words the picture is in the folder in ES file browser but not in the folder in Kodi.

Sound like a file format issue, then - possibly permissions, though unlikely on an Android device. Are there any patterns - JPG vs JPEG, or JPG vs PNG, or dimensions of the images? The fact that Kodi can't even see them suggests a file-level issue to me - naming most likely.
