When playing music and a thumbnail is not available for an album, kodi displays a speaker icon with musical notes (see red arrows in links below).

I want to change the speaker icon(thumbnail) but I can not find the folder(file) location. Does anyone know where it is?

Thx for your reply badass...but not there. In fact I can't find DefaultAudio in any skin Media folder.

Thx again. All USERDIR/Kodi/addons/skin.<yourskinnamehere>/media/ folders only contain .XBT files. So, my problem is finding the location of DefaultAudio.png files & it's strange that Windows search doesn't find it either.

You're unable to find it because it is compressed in the xbt file. You'll need to download the skin's uncompressed textures from its source (likely github), and put them in the media folder. Then you can find and replace the default icon.

Or just use this tool to decompress xbt file, then change the png file and finally recompress to xbt file

[SOLVED] Thanks much to badaas, braz & gracus for your replies and for your solutions. As you can guess, I'm a Kodi noob just trying to figure things out~had no idea what xbt files were or how to use them. Happy to find how helpful users are in this forum- thanks again!
