Hi guys ,

just a small problem after a fresh install of Ubuntu 16.04 with kodi 16.1 :
Actually I ve no sound when I follow this part :

Just I don't use openbox , I ve made a script with systemctl to start kodi as a service and autologin with the user kodi.

When I log with my default user on ubuntu I ve sound and when I launch kodi , I ve sound too (but not passtrough through the option of kodi , weird , but it s another problem)

Do u have an idea why no sound when autostart ?

my graphic card is GT620 connected through HDMI
when I tape the line :
inxi -A
Audio: Card NVIDIA GF108 High Definition Audio Controller
driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture v: k4.4.0-59-generic

it s solved ,
must disable pulseaudio for user kodi

and Now I have passthrough !!!

If you would have read the complete page you would have seen that EAC3, AC3, DTS is possible with pulseaudio, too.

yep , but when I let pulsaudio enabled , no sound in kodi
So i must autospawn = no in .config/pulse/client.conf

I think it s caused my kodi autostart directly

Hi

It's close of my issue, so I ask here.
I'm running under Kodi 17 with Ubuntu 16.04.

Do you have any idea how to configure my pulseaudio to have passthrought sound available under Kodi ? 

When I disable pulseaudio, I have the passthrought tab available but no sound under Kodi. 
When I enable pulseaudio, I have the sound but the passthrought tab in Kodi is empty :/
