Wondering if you guys can help. I've noticed some slightly choppy video on some 720p/1080p movies I have. The same problem persists on different devices (Acer Revo, Amazon Fire TV, nVidia Shield 2017) so it leads me to believe that it's the movie file.

Is there a sure fire way of troubleshooting this? Can log files determine anything?

You can start here: Debug Log please

First decide what functions / features you expect from a system. Then decide for the hardware. Don't waste your money on crap.
