Installed Kodi 16.1 per youtube instructions on my Mac running Sierra. It was running fine but froze up one day so I had to hard shut down Mac.
After I restarted I launched Kodi and starting receiving pop up in regards to incompatible with other software yes or no.
I took Kodi and put it in the trash which is sort of uninstalling on a Mac. I rebooted and then reinstalled Kodi but the same error.
Any ideas?

To uninstall Kodi you also need to delete ~/Library/Application Support/Kodi. If you reinstall you should use these instructions. That link also contains uninstall instructions.
