Problems with low gpu clock when launching programs from KODI
#1
When I launch, ether demanding games or video content I get low fps or stuttering. It seems that the gpu doesn’t clock up properly. Ether setting the relevant program to max power draw in NVidia settings or opening the application manually without kodi fixes the problems.
Could there be something wrong when launching ether external players or games ect. with regards to the gpu? It does not seem to change with drivers. Seems to have gotten worse with kodi 17

Interesting observation, there has been issues in the past with some graphic drivers. Games are a red herring, depends on the game etc, but video playing should be consistent. using GPU-Z or some desktop GPU tools will give you an idea as to what is going on, might be a good idea to monitor CPU as well an see what your o/s is doing to balance Kodi with multiple cores. You didn't mention details that a proper debug log would show, so it's basically groundless speculation.
