Hi,

I had a running kodi v14.2 on ubuntu 14.04 LTS.
Then I updated kodi to v17 with these instructions http://timelinerbooks.com/?p=70

Now kodi start up fine but whenever I play a video from my hard drive it crashes (and starts back up again immediately).

I have attached a logfile. Does anybody see anything in there?

I found out that the problem goes away, if I disable VAAPI acceleration (machine is an Intel NUC5).
How can I fix this?

install newer mesa and vaapi drivers. Search the forum please
